I came across this and felt it deserves to be seen by more people. This is an earnest effort by people on both sides of the Gaza / Israel border - common folk, not religious zealots or political power-brokers, to talk peace; to think and dream about what a 'normal' life might be like; to share those dreams between real people.

Lives in the Balance
Decades ago, singer / songwriter Jackson Browne assembled and performed an album and benefit concert tour known as Lives in the Balance consisting mostly of songs with a strongly anti-war message. During the George W. Bush administration the title track from this album (click to hear a sample; complete lyrics) had had an eerily familiar ring to it. Despite its age, this echo of past protest seems at least as apt today as in the times that gave rise to it.
